These are the conventional braces with a big difference: rather than the wire being tied in with wires or elastics it is held in place by a small door on the bracket. This serves to put less pressure on the teeth which moves teeth faster and safer, with less discomfort. In some situations clear aligners are not the treatment of choice. It is nice to have a more comfortable conventional braces system to choose from.

The brackets are bonded to the tooth and they hold a wire in their slot which is the mechanism of action. The teeth are moved towards the wire, assuming the same shape as the wire. (A photo of bracketed teeth would be great here.)
